A New Year. A New Month. A New Day. A New Beginning.
As we step into the new year, Hear Her Voice is proud to announce the launch of the Hear Her Voice Recovery Workbook. A powerful, trauma-informed healing tool created to support justice-impacted individuals, families, and communities on their journey toward restoration and self-empowerment.
This workbook was born from lived experience, strength, courage, and the unwavering belief that healing is not only possible but also deserved and at times needed.

Built for Real Healing
The Hear Her Voice Recovery Workbook goes beyond traditional recovery materials. It was intentionally designed to address the mind, body, spirit, and lived reality of those navigating incarceration, reentry, trauma, and recovery.
Inside the workbook, participants will find:
• Spiritual daily devotions that offer grounding, reflection, and hope—meeting people where they are spiritually without judgment
• Parenting exercises created for both individuals currently behind the walls and those parenting on the outside, helping rebuild trust, connection, and confidence
• Substance abuse recovery content paired with expressive writing workshops that allow participants to process emotions safely and honestly
• Guidance on healthier ways of eating, recognizing the connection between nutrition, mental health, and long-term wellness
• Trauma-informed writing prompts, affirmations, self-reflection exercises, and accountability planning
Each section encourages participants to slow down, tell the truth, and reconnect with themselves in a way that feels safe, affirming, and empowering.

Created From Scratch—With Intention and Purpose
What makes this workbook especially meaningful is that every single page was created by HHV members. From the written content to the visual layout, the Hear Her Voice Recovery Workbook was designed, and graphically created by the founder of Hear Her Voice, ensuring that every element reflects the organization’s mission, values, and heart.
Rooted in Lived Experience, Powered by Community
The workbook reflects the voices, experiences, and insight of justice-impacted individuals, peer mentors, counselors, and advocates who understand trauma, survival, and transformation firsthand. Their lived experience brings authenticity, hope, and relatability—reminding readers that they are not alone and that their voice matters and change is possible.
Reaching Inside the Walls—Nationwide Impact
This recovery workbook is designed not only for those in the community, but to reach thousands of correctional facilities nationwide. It will be distributed to incarcerated individuals who often have limited access to trauma-informed, healing-centered resources, ensuring that healing begins long before release.
By placing this workbook directly into correctional spaces, Hear Her Voice is helping individuals begin the work of self-reflection, accountability, and restoration while still inside, strengthening their foundation for successful reentry and long-term recovery.

Launching With Intention in the New Year
The new year symbolizes fresh starts and renewed commitment. Launching the Hear Her Voice Recovery Workbook at this time is intentional—it’s an invitation to begin again with compassion, clarity, and support.
Whether used individually, in group settings, reentry programs, treatment centers, or correctional facilities, this workbook serves as a counterpart for those ready to heal out loud and move forward with purpose.
Our Hope
Our hope is simple yet powerful:
That every person who opens this workbook feels seen.
That every page becomes a step toward freedom—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
And that every reclaimed voice helps build stronger families and healthier communities.
The Hear Her Voice Recovery Workbook isn’t just a launch—it’s a statement. A reminder. A movement rooted in FREEDOM, HEALING, and EMPOWERMENT.
