FTL! Revolutionary Greetings!
We say Black August 365 cause it’s imperative to take Black August Memorial & Black August Resistance back to its original state and source of its principled founding.
Black August 365 is letting it be known what George Jackson spoke to as the motor and vehicle that would lead New Afrikan people to National Liberation (Independence) as Malcolm X stated so eloquently By Any Means Necessary!

Black August 365 was set in stone from its genesis i.e. New Afrikan Revolutionary Guerrilla Prison Movement through ideological struggle, sacrifices, blood shed, under brutal oppression from the prison industrial slave complex (PISC) warfare on New Afrikan/Black prisoners.
It was its Resistance to this brutal oppression that these courageous Askaris (soldiers) began to initiate military actions against (PISC) murders of New Afrikan/Black Prisoners meaning they responded!
The Black Liberation Movement in prison started to formulate in the 1960s as National Liberation Consciousness began to spread amongst and influence New Afrikan Prisoners. Revolutionary Guerrillas like W.L. Nolen, James The “Jackyl ” Carr, Howard Tole, Warren Wells, George “ Big Jake” Lewis, George Jackson but even before that with Guerrillas like Clifford “ Death Row Jeff ” Jefferson who resisted against the (PISC) by any and all means.
But it would be once we reach the 1970s crucial assassinations within the leadership of Black Guerrillas that would forge Black August Memorial/Black August Resistance into a formidable culture tradition lifestyle to be lived 24/7 365 days within the gulags of the U.S. empire specifically California KKKoncentration KKKamps San Quentin, Soledad and Folsom!

W.L. Nolen, Alvin “ Jugs ” Miller, Cleveland Edwards would be assassinated January 13, 1970 by a racist prison guard militarily style. It was deemed justified homicide, after this incident 13 New Afrikan Prisoners began a hunger strike (Fasting) to secure a investigation. These 3 Askaris are commemorate Black August 13, annually!
There was a response to these assassinations expeditiously a prison guard was murdered thrown off the top tier thus the famous case of The Soledad 3 is known for George Jackson, Fleeto Drumgo and John Clutchette were accused and charged of. Drumgo and Clutchette were acquitted in 1972 and George assassinated in 1971.

In July 1970 seven New Afrikan Prisoners were accused of murdering a prison guard they were known as the Soledad 7.
That same year in the summer Black August 7, 1970 The Manchild 17 year old Jonathan Jackson entered to the Marin KKKourt Building and freed 3 New Afrikan Guerrilla Prisoners James Mcclain, William Christmas and Ruchelle Magee. He armed them and they took over the KKKourt and rounded up the judge and hostages demanding that the Soledad 3 be freed. In a courageous Guerrilla act there were ambushed by blood thirsty pigs who didn’t value the hostages nor the judges life and opened fire killing Jonathan Jackson, William Christmas, James Mcclain and others. Ruchell Magee survived and capture becoming the longest held political prisoner in prison. The August 7 Collective Askaris are commemorated Black August 7 Annually!
1 year later General George Jackson is assassinated August 21, 1971 in San Quentin Prison after a Rebellion of Prisoners was initiated that day. It was alleged that George was trying to escape evidence don’t support that from eye witnesses. Others involved were charged known as The San Quentin Six! This Esteemed Askari George Jackson is commemorated August 21, annually!

During the period 1972-1978 a courageous Guerrilla became command in chief named Joka Khatari Gaulden picking up the mantle from the esteem leadership before him W.L. Nolen and George Jackson! Him and other New Afrikan Prisoners would begin formulate structure of what we know today at Black August! But it was Khatari Gaulden The Black Dragon’s assassination on August 1,1978 by deliberately state medical negligence that would found Black August.
New Afrikan Prisoners from San Quentin, Soledad, Folsom, and Tracy in 1979 formed Black August individuals like Jitu Sadiki, Shujaa Graham, Shaka Athinnin are some names you should know when it comes to Black August. The Black August Organizing Committee in the 1980s would take Black August outside the walls.

It’s these 4 key principles of Fast, Study, Train and Fight that comes from the original programming of Black August Memorial/Resistance that freedom fighters and political prisoners have lived everyday 24/7 365 days over the last 46 cycles of Black August we want to emphasize during Black August 365 cause these principles should become a lifestyle, culture, tradition, in every New Afrikan/Black Community, Household, Revolutionary & Political Organizations and Cadres yearly!
Let the FLEA DAYS which means First Liberation Expedition of Afrika be the motivation as basis of creating and developing a Lifestyle, Culture & National Liberation Consciousness within our communities and families the first stages of a Nation, that will lead the New Afrikan Nation to Independence!
Fast from Sun Up to Sun Down, Study to learn New Afrikan Political Education, Train to be ready to defend the Nation beyond contradiction, Fight to liberate political prisoners and to demolish the prison industrial slave complex and oppression in all forms amongst our Communities & Nation that will lead to the basis of every Independent People Freeing The Land!
